My Review:

Canvas is an Infographic Tool that would allow teacher to create different images and create Brands for their lesson plans. Canvas was created by a graphic design teacher to help struggling students learn the basic concepts of graphic design. Canvas got its start up after raising $3 Million dollars in Australia and the United States.

This tool could obviously be used to teach students the basics of graphic design but it could also be used in many other applications. Such a creating images and brands for a class or school. A teacher teaching a yearbook class could definitely take advantage of all the creative features offered in Canvas. They could use this to target different section in the year book.

Students could use this tool very easily as it explains how to use the tool for first time users. The only thing that could cause students issues is uploading their own images is more complicated than it needs to be. Not to say that is impossible but it isn’t as strait forward so some of the other applications in the tool.

This would absolutely be a tool that I would use in my own class room it would be fun to have the students contribute and have buy-in to what the brand of the class looks like. This would be a way to create a fun and inclusive classroom environment.

Here is a like to Canvas for you to create your own logos and designs: https://www.canva.com/

Below are some screen shots of me going through different parts of canvas to learn how to create the logo at the top of my blog post for Cool Tool # 5.
