Google slides is a Presentation Tool that allows teachers or students make presentations on a topics. This tool has very similar features to Microsoft’s Power Point and operates very similarly.
This tool is easy to use and allows users to pick out different themes for their presentation. It also has a nice feature that allows students to work together independently on projects by providing a share / edit feature where students don’t have to be in the same location to work on the project.
This tool would be definitely a great tool to use if you were co-teaching a class with another teacher. It would allow you both to work on your portion of the presentation independently.
This tool would be easy to use for student s as they wouldn’t always have to meet to create a presentation if they were breaking down what parts each would cover. The only thing that could cause an issue for students is that you need to have a google email account to use the google slides. That could cause students problems in using the tool. However it’s not hard to create a google email account. It would be a false assumption to assume that all students have an account to use.
Below are some screen shots on me playing around and creating a google slide show. Also I included a how to video so if anyone else needed assistance learning more about Google slides they can easily learn more about the tool.
